Guide to Writing and Recording Your Book with ATAP Publishing
At ATAP Publishing, we know that bringing your book to life can feel overwhelming, especially when your ideas are still swirling in your mind. That’s why we’ve developed a streamlined process to help you get your book out of your head and onto the page—or screen—faster than you might think. With our Audio Recording Program, you can have your book ready for publishing in as little as six weeks.
We start by helping you map out your book. You provide us with a simple one-page overview of your idea, and from there, we create a detailed book treatment, complete with suggested chapter titles and content for each chapter. We typically recommend a 300-page book with about 15 to 17 chapters, giving your book a solid structure to build on.
Once your chapter titles and treatment are ready, it’s time for you to outline the specific points you want to cover in each chapter. This outline will serve as your guide during the writing or recording process.
If writing isn’t your thing, don’t worry! You can easily record your thoughts for each chapter using a free online recording tool or even the dictation feature on your cell phone. Don’t stress about perfection—there’s no need to worry about starts, stops, “umms,” or rambling. Just speak naturally; we’ll take care of the rest.
After you’ve recorded your chapters, send the audio files to us. Our team will transcribe your recordings, and a professional ghostwriter will refine your words, ensuring your book has a cohesive and engaging narrative. Your story, your voice—polished and perfected.
Finally, your manuscript will go through a thorough editing and polishing process to ensure it’s ready for publication. From there, ATAP Publishing will handle the rest, including book design, marketing, and distribution.
